I found this unfinished Suzumiya Haruhi fanfic in my drafts folder, under a file where I keep random ideas that come to me during classes. In my brain (or whatever humans use for memories, I heard that maybe all lipid cells in our body can store memories), one of the memories linked to it is a novel, "The Handmaid's Tale" and the novel's cover is an edition where the base colour is red and there was two faceless handmaids on it. Another link is to a TV Tropes page of an anime where women are used as weapons and failed weapons are "broken". I cannot remember the anime's title.
The MoSH fic:
I must be less normal than I believe.
Remember the time when Nagato sent me to a world where everybody was ordinary? No alien, esper, time traveller or god? Well, this time, it’s completely the opposite: I am in a world where everyone is special. That is, everyone is something other than normal human being! And I am still not mad! Or am I already insane? This is completely insane!
“Are you alright?”
The person inquiring my status is not Haruhi. I wish it could be Asashina or at least Nagato, but no: it is Ms. Mori. She is apparently a vampire maid in this world.
“My master politely demands you to move away or else I will have to move you myself.”
Her master is of course none other than Koizumi. He doesn’t have the fake smile in this world. That, however, does not make him less disgusting: he has the most stoic face for mask ever. A girl would find him irresistible, but I just find him irritable. And why isn’t he speaking himself? Is he mute in this world? Looks like whoever who made this world did at least something right.
“Well? Are you moving? My master wants to know if you’re deaf, distracted or dumb. If you’re deaf or distracted we can excuse you: I just have to exercise a bit. If you’re dumb, we offer free euthanasia.”
Oh boy. This world is beyond wrong. I quickly moved away.
“Thank you.”
So, in this world, superpowered people bring their superpowered maid to school. Haruhi’s maid is her favourite toy Asashina. Why can’t she be my maid instead? But it’s alright, I have Nagato. Wait, it’s not alright! For some reason, Nagato cannot speak. That is, she does make sounds… that sound like static. I cannot understand what she says at all. Not that I can understand her words in the original world. It’s just even worse. That’s not fair!

It looks rather good. I should finish writing it.
