The French teachers, however... I guess it's not a problem anymore. They are too artsy for this world. It's beyond masturbation, it's murdering their ideas on a piece of paper and watch them bleed. Then they pick at their entrails and make strings out of them. Then play musics with them. With moose howls as background music or something. If moose can howl.

There's a reason my dad (and so do I, now) calls analysis and speculation for their own sakes "la masturbation des neurones".

Also that is a beautiful, beautiful image. The moose are a nice touch.

It wasn't exactly a hyperbole when I described my French teachers there. One of the "art" readings they showed us was a woman reading a book while the noises of a train was played in the background. The train noises were supposedly from the movie that inspired the woman into writing the work she was reading, so the idea here was the supposition of the source and the product, except that the noise was loud and the woman wasn't reading in a clear way and it was not like her reading was pacing with the noises, so it was just a big confusion of sounds there. I appreciated the idea, but it didn't really work.

And they also celebrate the works of Rimbaud where he said things like "I took my muse in my arms and spat in her face" or "I sleep with a dirty shoe against my chest". Yeah.

Or have us visit the art installation called The Cloaca, which is a machine that makes excrement.

It was a mere observation that they were killing ideas to make art. Didn't have to invent anything.

Also I kinda like the grotesque dimension you see in some poems of the time. I wasn't a fan of Rimbaud but I really really liked Baudelaire?
