It was pretty good. I really liked it. In fact, it immediately replaced the English version I've read in my head as the canon. Still, headscratch inducing translations like "RANDONNEUSE BLAFARDE" is still not accepted by my brain cells and I will still remember her as Windswept Questant, but I have to admit that it isn't easy to find something that matches RB (Reine Blanche) in French while staying loyal to the multiple meanings of WQ. This is also a place where the English words appears more elegant than its equivalent in French. Seriously. Blafarde. It's musically hideous. Does not suit a formal queen at all. And Randonneuse does not have the weight of a Questant at all. It sounds like a hiker taking a walk in the local woods situated in the backyard of the local university. But beside minor translation troubles like that, most of the dialogues were excellently translated and retained the original mood.

Karkat's swears might not sound as creative or angry as in the original (my goodness his cursing was flowery to the point of being tailor-made works of art), but we don't hear from him that often yet, so we have to wait a bit more. Maybe it's harder to sound angry in French? Even when swearing people tend to sound more like calm angry or nasty angry than angry angry the way Karkat is.

Anyway, here's the link: http://www.stoubs.com/homestuck-fr/index.php
