In French pokemon games, Watergun is Pistolet à O.

At least they have the excuse of not enough space. Once I was watching Cardcaptor Sakura in French on TV and the subtitle wrote "carte de seau (Bucket Card)" instead of "carte de saut (Jump Card)". I think the person who wrote the subtitle didn't watch the show because she was clearly using the card to jump in that scene.
Translations are funny things.
