Poem That Won 3rd Place at Grave-Pupilles 2007
It was meant to be a gift for the teachers who helped me with my writing. One of them decided to submit it to the contest. Yeah. Oh, and it was written as the apres-gout of another poem context that took place before this one where I only got a honorable mention. And this poem is 3 year-old.

School musing from cegep years
"Je ne prends pas de notes: je ramasse les corps des mots mort-nés et je les dépose sur des feuilles sans vie."

Calmer way to say what I actually wanted to say. General after-school thought.

"Je ne prends pas de notes! Les mots sortant de votre bouche sont cinglés comme des drosophiles soûlées d'éther trop dilué. Il faut que je les tue à coups de crayon et éparpille leur sang, leur chair et leur exosquelette ici et là sur les feuilles pour calmer ma colère."

What I would say after a bio lab.

"Je ne prends pas de notes. Je ne prends jamais de notes. Je ne sais pas comment. Ce que je fais, c'est ramasser des cadavres: ils sont morts, ces mots malchanceux!"

"Notes? Quelles notes? Désolé, je dormais."

What could've happened in real life, after taking a nap during class time.

Contrary to popular belief, school is a muse. She looks like a lion. Or a sphinx. Or a cherub. The old cherub, not the modern days baby-like cherub.

J'ai vu Brébeuf dans les bras du Brouillard, indifférent comme un vieux lion paresseux.

...I think I'm going to write School/Fog slash fic XD -mad- Hey, I'm seeing a cat that isn't there! A big one too! It has the colour of dry stones and scent of wet grass.
