Musing: northpaw and southpaw

Why is that right-handed is call northpaw? North is where the polar bears are and polar bears are apparently left-handed. Doesn't that mean polar bears fight southpaw?

Then again, polar bears may not be mostly left-handed.

Pokemon = robotic?

After reading a comic where Pokemon was set in a context similar to Digimon Frontier, I noticed that trainer-owned Pokemons, with the right badges and level, act pretty much like advanced robots with the first law removed (though in some versions all 3 laws are in place).
